Dr. Kerns is the CEO and Founder of Amarastesia Sàrl, a Swiss‑based medical technology company headquartered in Courroux, Switzerland. She leads the company’s scientific vision, R&D strategy, and product innovation efforts, driving the development of next‑generation, safety‑engineered tools in women’s health. Under her leadership, Amarastesia has become recognized for its rigorous clinical insight, defensible IP strategy, and commitment to elevating global standards of care. Her track record demonstrates a consistent ability to build businesses and teams from scratch to profitability, combining strategic leadership with operational discipline.

Dr. Roxana Belciu Kerns is a board‑certified anesthesiologist practicing in New York since 2009 and licensed in both New York and Florida. Her medical career spans more than two decades across anesthesia, surgery, aesthetics, and medical innovation. Before relocating to the United States, she completed a surgical residency in Romania with certification in pediatric and reconstructive surgery, establishing a strong foundation in complex perioperative care and procedural medicine. As a clinician‑innovator, Dr. Kerns has emerged as a leading voice in women’s health and medical device development. Over the past four years, she has filed more than ten patents, with three already granted, reflecting her commitment to advancing safer, more equitable, and more effective clinical tools. Dr. Kerns is also a long‑standing entrepreneur and the founder of Orchid Aesthetics Medical Spa, a successful New York–based practice she has led for more than 15 years. Her academic contributions include numerous international publications across anesthesia, surgery, and aesthetic medicine. She has been recognized for her clinical excellence and leadership, including being named a Top Physician by the Who’s Who Continental Magazine in 2020.

Today, Dr. Kerns continues to combine clinical practice, scientific research, and medical innovation with a mission to elevate standards of care and expand access to safer, more dignified medical experiences for patients worldwide. 

Beyond her clinical and entrepreneurial work, Dr. Kerns is deeply committed to humanitarian service. She volunteers as an anesthesiologist with Healing the Children, providing surgical care to underserved pediatric populations. She is an active supporter of animal welfare and rescue missions, reflecting her long-standing dedication to compassion and community.

She sees medicine as an art as much as a science, one that demands creativity, intuition, and adaptability, especially in moments of pressure. She began painting shortly after medical school, starting with simple life drawings before moving into oil and acrylic work. She also finds restoration outdoors, walking, and hiking with her two dogs.
